Church of the Nativity, Nikopol
The oldest temple Nikopol erected on the outskirts of the city on the banks of the Dnieper River at the exit in the direction of Kherson . This is one of the few churches that have survived since the revolution. When minor alterations the church is remarkably well preserved its exterior architectural appearance.
The history of the Church of the Nativity
Church of the Divine Holy Virgin built in the years 1812-1820 in the classical style in the territory Sulitsko-Liman freedom. But the building was officially allowed only in September 1822. In Soviet times the church was closed, the room was in his granary. During the German occupation in the 1920s, the church a short time acted as an autocephalous Ukrainian church.
