Memorial Eternal Glory, Oposhnya

"Remember those who are steeped in legend" - says one of the memorial tablets of the Memorial of Glory in Opishne. This memorial is located in the village of Oposhnya Zenkovsky district, Poltava region. The memorial sign erected in honor of fallen soldiers who liberated these lands.

History of the memorial

Oposhnya was occupied by September 8, 1941. German troops have killed many villagers. More and more people were deported to work in Germany. September 29, 1943 the village was liberated from the invaders. Fierce fighting took place. And by the 8th Airborne Division, the enemy was finally defeated.

Many soldiers were killed when a Oposhnya. Remembering their feat villagers established the Memorial of Glory. Devoted as he died the villagers in the Great Patriotic War. All of them fought bravely for the common victory over the enemy of freedom and a happy future.
