Monument to soldiers-internationalists, Oposhnya

Monument to soldiers-internationalists installed in the park of the village Oposhnya Zenkovsky district, Poltava region. Villagers have set it in the memory of the dead compatriots on the fronts of other countries.

Description of the monument

In a quiet central square Oposhnya on one of the alleys in 2004 was a monument to soldiers-internationalists. Surrounded by trees is unsightly monument. It is a block of granite with a commemorative plaque, which is mounted on a small pedestal.

The plate engraved with the names of the countries in the wars which involved some oposhnyantsy. The soldiers gave their lives for the freedom and happiness of other people from foreign countries for them. This is quite a feat! Shown as the dates of the military conflict.

The monument is one of ten popular attractions Oposhnya. Almost every tourist comes here to honor the memory of the victims. There always lay a wreath of flowers.

Getting there

To start, you need to get to the bus station Oposhnya. This can be done from the bus station of Poltava, or your own car. To go better on the highway P42. The trip takes about 40 minutes. Then you can take a walk to the central square.
