Memorial to the defenders of law and order, Poltava
At the corner of Red Army soldiers and Pushkin`s Poltava set a memorial to fallen defenders of law and order. This complex is an expression of respect for the employees of the Interior Ministry who gave their lives defending their home country and the civilian population, protecting law and order.
History of the memorial
Inauguration of the memorial on 24 September 1999. Designing the monument was completed shortly before the start of construction in 1998. The complex includes a chapel of St. Archangel Michael, actually a monument to the fallen workers of law enforcement, a plaque on which the engraved inscription: "You, who gave their lives defending human heritage, protecting law and order in the state."
The chapel was built in the classical style, with cross windows, dome topped with a cross. The monument is an angel holding a sword. He seemed protects the souls of dead defenders.
Getting there
Memorial to the defenders of the rule of law is at the intersection of Red Army soldiers and Pushkin, near the building of the Ministry of Interior. On Pushkin Street near the Haymarket, is stop - "Professional Food Technology", through which route number 4, 5, 9, 11, 12 and 14.
