Yar Park Sarzhin

Between the two residential areas of the city of Kharkiv - Paul Pavlov and upland areas are fairly large park on the basis of source Sarzhin Yar. At its core it is a beam, the duration of which is 12 kilometers away.

History Park

The origins of the park dates back to the 18th century. At the time of parkland location was the intersection of the road and the river Zolochiv Sarzhinki. Today, it begins with a forest park and stretches to the river Lopan.

In the old days on the bottom Sarzhin Yar proceeded eponymous creek, which was filled in 2006. Currently, the creek there were only a few fragments, and now the majority of the slopes of the ravine in the central part of the city is actively built up with new skyscrapers.

In the park there is plenty of attractions that attract the attention of both local people and tourists alike. In the upper part of the park and reserve Alexis beam spread-tract faded.

On the left side of the park is Finnish slide with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The main feature of this hill - its height, allowing descend from her skiing or sledding in the winter. Through the park territory stretches old cable car, which was built in 1971.

At the same slope is the temple of God icon "Joy" , built in 2010. Constructed from natural wood it in pseudo-architectural style. In addition, the park is a pool, which has a large playground, play area for children.

Relax in Sarzhin Yar at any time of the year. Many Kharkiv and visitors come here with their entire families with children and friends for a picnic, photo shoot or just relax in nature.
