Museum of the History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages

Museum of the History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages was opened in Lviv in the mid-20th century. A large collection of precious artifacts collected over several decades. First meeting was of a private character, was later organized fund for the official activities of the museum.

The basis of the first exhibition formed findings of archaeological excavations carried out in the late 18th - early 20th centuries.
