History Philharmonic

She appeared relatively recently. Philharmonic in Ivano-Frankivsk was founded a year before the outbreak of the Second World War. Now it is a historic room, which was erected in the city in the late 19th century. Then it was built specifically for the musical-drama theater. It was a building with grandiose architecture, reputed to be one of the main decorations of the city.

However, during the First World building badly damaged. Its reconstruction was unsuccessful - disappeared decoration, dome, portico, adding a massive balcony. Not long ago, the Philharmonic building was restored, but the original form could not return.

Now it is an architectural monument of the 19th century. Philharmonic holds five hundred spectators. Every day is a holiday - are held in the evening of the Italian Baroque, Ukrainian bayan and accordion competitions for young singers.

How to get there

To get to Ivano-Frankivsk is not difficult - it is a major regional center, where the shuttle trains and buses from different cities of the country. Regional Philharmonic Society is located about a 15-minute walk from the train station.
