The Church of St. Clement, Odessa

The Catholic Church of St. Clement was built in the second Odessa after the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary . It was erected after the first temple ceased to contain within its walls the required number of members. The place was chosen for the construction of a special area of ​​the city, which housed the Catholic community of Poles. Large-scale construction was consecrated in 1906 after three years of construction. It was a unique church with magnificent neo-Gothic architecture, developed by V. Dombrovskis.

Capacity of the new church in 4000 exceeded the value of a person inside the halls housed seven separate altars. Eye-catching red-brick building and two high chapels length of 64 meters, as well as a whole range of architectural structures of this style. One of these buildings turned the building of the parable, which organized the meeting of priests, it is the only survived after the explosion of the temple in 1936. At the moment its territory is the modern church of St. Clement, which continues to be funded Catholic community.
