History and architecture of the temple
The history of the church begins with the appearance in the city of the Roman Catholic community of immigrants from Upper Austria in 1782. Initially, the main church of the community was located in a converted Greek Catholic chapel. Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Rakhiv was built in 1825. In 1872 it carried out the first restoration of the church. Then the roof of the shrine was raised, it added two belfry. In 1884, the church was equipped with authority.
In the early 21st century, the church was restored again, it lasted from 2004 to 2005. During this period, the architecture of the temple takes on modern features. Church of St. John of Nepomuk is made of red brick. Its main decoration - tower, which is located above the main entrance to the shrine. On the facade of the scale of the temple is not visible, it is rectangular in shape, stretched into the courtyard.
