Rib Mountain

Apparently, in the mountains is difficult to find a place where not opened gorgeous landscape. This is a mountain and ribs in the Carpathians. This place always comes out well in photographs and paintings.

Montenegrin array is one of the most visited places in the Carpathians. Some come here just to relax and mountain merge with nature, and some test yourself and conquer the summit.

What to see on the mountain

Rib Mountain is the midpoint of the Montenegrin spine. Its height - 2001 meters. That is, it is one of the highest peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians, yet it is the smallest among the "dvotysyachnykiv."

Once passed by the mountain border between the two countries - Poland and Czechoslovakia. And in our time separating the top two areas - Transcarpathian and Ivano-Frankivsk.

There is growing mosses saxifrage, rhododendron, Kalmia procumbens. These plants listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, so be careful and not tear them. Better to focus on blueberries - in summer they are a dime a dozen!

With beautiful mountain and other peaks visible array - Brebeneskul, Spitz, Turkul and Hutyn Tomnatyk. And at the foot of the mountain can see several small lakes.

The first option is quite predictable - too landscape mountain resembles human rib.
The second option - appearances that are seen on the slopes, similar to the ribs hungry animals that protrude from the sides.

How to get to the ribs in the Carpathian mountains

The best will get from Verkhovyna to the village Bystrets. From there you can get to the foot of the mountain by car or on foot to overcome this way.
