Krolevets weaving Museum is located in Krolevets Sumy region.

Ukraine engaged in weaving since ancient times. And characteristically, canvases produced on old looms until the mid-20th century.

History museum

Place the museum chose not accidental. During excavations in Krolevets on the right bank of the river Retiers found shelter Slavic period (about 5-7 century). Here scientists have found weaving tools - fence. This suggests that even at that time people were able to weave.

Krolevec often called the city of weavers. But weaving museum opened its doors to visitors recently - in 2011. Krolevets weaving museum located in the historic estate Ogievskii where once stayed Taras Shevchenko.
