XVII Christmas Festival "Great Kolyada", Lviv, L'viv
For the traditional Christmas festival in Lviv organizers have already started painstaking work in preparing the program. During the Christmas holidays, several thousand amateurs and professionals caroling will be able to compete in their dexterity and skill.
XVII Christmas Festival "Great Kolyada" - is not only contests and competitions, the main purpose of the festival is the deep knowledge and dissemination Ukrainian Christmas traditions. Also at this time of the event every visitor can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, taste the goodies Lviv, buy gifts or souvenirs for family and friends.
Place: holiday held on the Museum Square 3, in the temple of the Holy Eucharist.
Date: festival will take place from 7 to 24 January 2016.
The program of the festival "Great Kolyada"
Each participant feast festival allows individual performance:
- carols;
- vinshuvan;
- Christmas carols and other Christmas songs.
The format of the festival "Great Kolyada" in 2016 will take place in the following order:
- From 7 January to 23 January will take place solo performances. Beginning on weekdays - at 19:00, on Saturday - at 15:00.
- On Sunday, January 17 at 16:00 a concert of children`s and youth groups.
- On the day of the Epiphany Towards Evening, January 18, all participants and guests will visit the traditional Christmas Fair, relax, prepare for the final concert.
- January 24 at 17:00 will be a great final gala concert of the festival.
Participants of the festival
In celebration of the festival artists will participate:
- collective or solo;
- children, youth, adults;
- amateur and professional choirs;
- vocal or vocal-instrumental ensembles;
- theater groups and orchestras.
Everyone can hear various versions of carols:
- authentic;
- folk;
- modernized and traditional;
- music or acoustically.
