Exhibition of Contemporary Lithuanian Textile "Photo-Video-Media Textiles", Odessa, Odesa

As part of a large-scale joint project of Lithuania and Ukraine in the Museum of Modern Art in Odessa "Photo-Video-Media Textiles" opened a unique exhibition of contemporary Lithuanian textile.
The purpose of the exhibition - to demonstrate the promotion of textile with media of modern technologies. The works presented at the exhibition show how opinion has changed on textiles, which had become an integral part of contemporary art.
Venue: Museum on the street Belinsky, 5, Odessa.
Date: will be held from July 8 to August 15, 2016.
What will be on show
Traditionally, over the centuries seen as a textile crafts. The focus was on its materials, technology and functionality. The exhibition textiles perform in one form of which is determined by the emotional, intellectual and artistic works.
The exhibition will present the works of our time:
- samples of classic weaving and digital printing;
- installation;
- facilities;
- documenting the artifacts and performances.
In the textile exhibition will be attended by well-known artists:
- Monica Zhaltkauskayte-Grashene;
- Lyme Orzhyakauskene;
- Lina Jonica;
- Elena Shkulene;
- Jurate Pyatrushkyavichene;
- Inchirauskayte north-Kryaunyavichene;
- Arturas Morozovas;
- Laura Moteyunayte and many others.
The exhibition will also be held lectures and master classes by leading professionals in the textile art.
