VII Odessa International Film Festival, Odessa, Odesa
During 9 days held VII Odessa International Film Festival in Odessa. This year it will take place in mid-July and in different locations of the city. Before the festival program includes competitive and non competitive program, professional section, and Film Market Summer Film School.
Every year at the opening ceremony by the decision of the Directorate is handing statuettes "Golden Duke" for contribution to cinema. The competition of the festival is the latest films referral mainstream art - art high-quality films that are available to a wide audience.
Venue: Odessa Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy , Potemkin Stairs open-air, cinema "Rodina" cinema "Cinema City", Odessa.
Date: will be held from 15 to 23 July 2016.
Cost: subscription for 9 days - 1000 UAH.
The program of the festival
In Odessa International Film Festival aims to contribute to the development and support cinematographic art in Ukraine. To focus the festival program includes films, endowed with high artistic quality. They are available to the broadest possible audience.
Noncompetitive programs consist of retrospective, selections of the latest films from different countries, exclusive and premier festival hits. In the festival program of events split into different sections:
- International Competition. The selection of movies is on the following criteria: feature film highly quality-oriented mass audience and completed after January 1, 2015, the premiere of which took place not in Ukraine before the festival.
- National competition program. The selection takes place in the following genres: documentary, fiction, animation, short and feature films Ukrainian production or co-production of Ukraine completed after January 1, 2015.
- Noncompetitive programs include measures "gala premiere", "Festival of Festivals", personal and thematic retrospectives, special screenings at venues open-air and other kinopodiy.
- Professional section - four-day program of presentations, panel discussions, roundtables and pitching aimed at creating a communication platform for international and Ukrainian film industry professionals.
- Film Market is a four-day program of activities designed to Ukrainian distribution companies, representatives of theaters, film studios, film distribution areas. As part of the Film Market will take place the presentation of all distributors Ukraine and companies that offer services for cinemas. Participation in the Film Market paid.
- Summer Film School - graphic design, which consists of a series of workshops and creative meetings with experts from the film industry of the world - famous actors, writers and directors, film critics and producers.
