Zaporizhia Oblast Art Museum

Zaporozhye Art Museum was founded in 1971, this event was truly unique, since its own museum exposition did not own. The first exhibition, which was held in the museum - a display of a collection of the Tretyakov Gallery. On three floors of the museum exhibition of Russian art exhibited 14-20 century. Art Museum, worked for many years as an exhibition center. There has been presented many collections of museums in Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland, Australia and China.

Since its opening, the museum staff began to form their own exposure. It was collected hands several local art. Today, the collection reaches   about 13 thousand. unique works of art. This variety of icons, sculptures, drawings, paintings, and objects of Ukrainian folk art.

In 2008, on the basis of an art museum with the active support of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg opened an information center called "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch".

Art Museum - a cultural center of Zaporozhye , a place where the best fabric of the city and carried out the most interesting and unique exhibitions. It has   the largest in the south of Ukraine collection of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art.
