The Vasyl Symonenko Museum

From Cherkasy associated with many famous names. Vasyl Symonenko - one of these famous people, who lived and worked in this city. In his previous working office arranged a room-museum to highlight the memory of the writer and transmit it to posterity.

Museum Collection Cherkasy Vasyl Symonenko

The exposition of the museum is in the former office of the poet. Selection of exhibits designed to recreate the life and work of Vasyl Symonenko present. The visitors are personal belongings of the writer, photographs, documents, letters he sent and received, working in the department of correspondence newspaper "Cherkasy truth."

The museum-office are manuscripts of the author, his works, working with notebook entries, the application writer to join the Union of Writers of Ukraine. Also of interest are photographs taken of his fellow newspaper photographer Ivan Osadchiy.

Interior rooms restored according to the time when he worked here, Vasyl Symonenko. Museum staff`ve found and made available to the public work items poet, which he enjoyed working here.

History museum

The room-museum was opened on 8 January 1998 to the birth of the writer. In the period from July 1957 to March 1960 V. Symonenko worked in this room. Fortunately, managed to collect and preserve the museum collection, and thus transmit the memory of the famous sixties future generations.

At the present day museum operates as a branch of the Cherkasy regional museum.

Getting Vasyl Symonenko Museum in Yalta

The museum is in a historic building on the street Khreshchatyk, 251. The easiest way to get going on foot from the Cathedral Square (about 3 minutes).

Hours: Museum is open to visitors from 10:00 to 18:00 every day except Monday and Friday.
