All Saints Cathedral and Benedictine Monastery
Church of All Saints and a former Benedictine monastery located in the center of the city. The church was built in 1595, led the project Lviv architect Paul Roman.
The massive walls surrounding the church, gave him a warlike character, was created for the protection and defense of the complex. They have survived to our time. But the building of the temple today is different, as it was reconstructed after a fire in the 18th century.
Rectangular-shaped church was built of stone. Above the arches there are niches with statues. The building combines the style of the late Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque. For slender gate opens wide courtyard.
After independence was declared in Ukraine, activity nuns sisters studitok resumed. They are engaged in embroidery, weaving, pisankarstvom. The monastery is a school of St. Sophia, which is popular with children and young people of the city.
