Oleksandria Dendrological Park
Arboretum "Alexandria" - one of the largest arboretums not only in Ukraine, but also in Eastern Europe. After all, it is located almost 300 hectares!
This monument of landscape art, located in the White Church on the terrace of the river Ros, has two centuries. Count Xavier Branitsky ordered to break it in honor of his wife. Mid-19th century was the heyday of the park. Here enjoyed strolling many celebrities of the time. Therefore, at the entrance you will be greeted with busts of Pushkin and Shevchenko.
Arboretum has over 20 ponds, which are cascaded and merge with the river Ros. Local inhabitants - swans and wild ducks, will please the eye of the traveler.
Walking through the alleys and paths - and there are in the park more than 20 miles - you will be able to touch the 400-year-old oaks, see old tulip tree and hug a giant 130-year-old poplar.
In the heart of the park is spread over a large field, the record-holder for the number of different plants. From her path will lead you to the waterfall island "Dreams", which has a fountain, and to the Chinese Bridge. Of course, you can not ignore the main attraction of the park - a grove, which took almost 50 hectares. Located not far from her gardener`s house, which became the only surviving structure of the 18th century.
