Plisnesk settlement

Near the village Pidhirtsi in the Lviv region is a unique architectural monument - Plisnesk settlement. His story begins with the Middle Ages. Archaeologists explore settlement for 200 years.
At one time Plisnesk was one of the most powerful cities of Kievan Rus, the mention of it is found in the annals of the famous "Lay."

Ancient Plisnesk consisted of two parts - the upper and lower town. Upper Town was located on flat terrain. Lower - on mountainous, where the influx of Western Bug flowed and beat a lot of keys. Now, the lower town is a small hamlet Plisnesk. At the top was Detinets - business and administrative center. Remains of many buildings have survived.
