Museum of Ideas

Lviv is considered to be the cultural capital of Ukraine, is the center of handicrafts, folk art, ancient and modern art. The rich history of the city has more than seven centuries, are interwoven cultures of different nations.

In Lviv was able to realize a unique art project, which embodies the most daring artistic ideas and prints Ukraine to a new level in the field of art. Here, in a former convent of the Bernardine is located so-called Museum of ideas - an open art space, where originate and sell a wide variety of art projects.

The idea of ​​establishing the Museum of ideas belongs to Lviv artists Dzindre Oles, who founded the gallery in 1992. The main mission of the museum is to promote contemporary art, as well as finding new ways to create a dialogue between the artist and the viewer.

During 22 years of its activity the Museum of ideas has become a platform for the implementation of a huge number of social and cultural projects, which have become known not only in Ukraine, but also throughout the world. One of these projects include the annual festival of independent cinema "Kynol", which aims to support young directors and development of Lviv as the cultural capital of Ukraine.
