Cathedral of Saints Anthony and Theodosius

Cathedral of St. Anthony and Theodosius - a unique architectural monument of the middle   18   century Vasilkovo . The church is acting and is subject to the Moscow Patriarchate. The cathedral was built with   1755   by 1758   years of the famous Ukrainian master architect and serf named Stepan Kovnir. He is considered the chief specialist in the style   Ukrainian   Baroque, which built an outstanding Cathedral Anthony and Theodosius.

Latest   Restoration   the building was carried out in the late 1990s, repair lasted about   eight   years. Beautiful building was empty for many years in the 1960s, services were banned in the Soviet period.

The composition of the building is recognized as one of the best works   author   Kovnir. He created a symmetrical   ensemble   from   five domes, where the height of the center is 28 meters. Stand on the facade of stacked rich stucco cornices and window frames, elaborately decorated with decorative elements.
