Regional Archaeological Museum, Trypillia
The museum is located just 50 kilometers from the capital - on the site of the ancient city Trepol Posadov on the mountain. Constructivist building is in dark color, has a cubic shape and resembles a trunk. According to the plan of the architect A. Ignashchenko, building symbolizes the wealth of Ukraine, and the stones on which it stands - a block of land.
Its history museum started as a Komsomol Glory Museum, and in 1995 (on the 100th anniversary of the discovery Vikentiĭ Khvoĭka Tripoli culture) has been redeveloped in the Regional Archaeological Museum.
In four rooms of the museum is a rich exposition, there were 34 thousand items of history. The most interesting items are in the main site - Tripoli hall. Among them: various decorations, ceramic and copper ware, colorful dishes, graceful statues and models of adobe dwellings. In the rest of the museum has exhibits from the Stone Age to the 18th century. Visitors can purchase interesting souvenirs here, imitating ancient ceramics, including a unique binoklevidnuyu ritual utensils. In 2002, the museum has been renovated, near the building inaugurated a bronze bust of the prominent archaeologist Vikentiĭ Khvoĭka who opened Tripoli culture. At the same time has been updated and the museum.
