Korsun-Shevchenko Historical and Cultural Reserve
Korsun-Shevchenko State Historical and Cultural Reserve - a cultural and educational and research institutions. It was created to protect the monuments of nature, history and culture of the region. The total area of the reserve funds - more than 100 hectares. The decision on the establishment of the reserve was accepted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 1994. Reserve Funds are enormous, just for the state account worth more than 58,000 sites, most of them devoted to the history of World War II in the Cherkassy region and local history topics.
Among the monuments of Korsun-Shevchenko Reserve there are objects that are the cultural heritage of the people and listed in the National Register. Most tourists are attracted by the estate of Prince Lopukhins-Demidovs , the construction of which was carried out at the border of the 18th and 19th century.
