Fountain of Life

Fountain of Life

Fountain of Life located on Mayakovsky Square in the city of Zaporozhye . Installed recently in memory of the victims of the Chernobyl disaster. He is a   one of the most beautiful and unusual fountains throughout Ukraine. The amazing thing is that it is perfectly combines the original technical solutions and aesthetic appeal. For many years, the area around the fountain is a favorite place for walking residents and visitors to the city of Zaporozhye.

The composition of the fountain consists of a large rotating globe and a few pieces at the bottom.   This ball is the biggest in Ukraine. It weighs 3.8 tons and diameter - 1.3 meters. It is located in the center of the fountain and is rotated by the action of water. Due to successfully streamlined the technical design of the water layer between the ball and the support itself is only one millimeter, the water pressure is too low - only 3.5 atmospheres.

The whole history of the Ukrainian people is reflected in the sculptures around the fountain of life.   It is 8 stone compositions that characterize the history and life of the Ukrainian people.   The most notable is the   figure "Chernobyl". It perpetuates the memory of all the liquidators, who died during the elimination of the consequences of the accident. There Cossack Mamai - a sign of independence and the free spirit of Ukrainians and many other emblematic sculptures.

After strolling around the fountain and studying the history of Ukraine, gathered in one place, it is possible to explore the sights of another Zaporozhye -   children`s railway . Favorite vacation spot all young travelers and railroad town.
