James Church Stratepy

Ternopil region is rich in historical monuments, one of which is the Church of Jacob Stratepy in the village of Old Skalat . Aware of the village from the first half of the 16th century. The name comes from the name of the landlord, who owned the village. Construction of the church began more than 100 years ago in 1910. The church was consecrated in 1912. Built in a Neo-Romanesque style church. The facade of the temple deprived frills and repeats the classic tendencies of his contemporaries from the early 20th century. During the Soviet persecution room of the temple was used as a warehouse. In 1997, the completed restoration of the temple, through which the church managed to keep intact. The temple doors are open to all parishioners.
