Motronynskyy monastery

Motroninsky monastery is located in the village of Millers Cherkasy region.   The history of the foundation of the monastery is associated with various legends. The monastery was built in 1036. It was named after the wife of the prince Miroslav magistrates. Construction is in the so-called Scythian ancient settlement. C o legends, underneath there is a dense network of underground tunnels.

Cherkasy region is an interesting historical value. Holy Trinity Motroninsky convent is one of them. According to one legend, in this place was a fortress Knyazhye Miroslav magistrates. It is also said that the monastery attended and a great writer Taras Shevchenko. Here they were collected excellent material for all the well-known poem "Haydamaky." Today Motroninsky Monastery   is valid and is considered to be the ancient historical buildings. It is part of the National Historical and Cultural Reserve "Chigirin . " A huge number of pilgrims gather at the monastery on the great feast of the Holy Trinity.
