Turkish Fountain

Favorite place for summer walks townspeople - parks with fountains. Not far from the Yacht Club, located in the middle of the park "Turkish fountain." The fountain was created in 1792, is all that remains of the once powerful Turkish palace complex Potemkin. As reported by historical archives, all the buildings (including fountain) were performed in the Moorish style. This explains the origin of the name of the fountain.

Originally planned to impose a marble fountain. Water for it came from the source of the Saviour, but the plans Potemkin failed to materialize. Today plastered concrete base, were deposited bright ornaments in oriental style.
