Dovzhanska Lime Tree

Transcarpathia is rich in monuments and sights. The village has grown a long   the oldest linden Ukraine. Usually the life of limes 300-400 years, but there are instances that survive to the millennial anniversary. Dolgovskaya lime can boast 600 years of age.

Linden - tree that pleases the eye and creates shade on a hot day, because its crown can reach five meters in diameter. Inflorescence of this tree has a unique flavor, but also serves as a natural remedy for colds as anti-inflammatory and sedative.

Dolgovskaya lime has a height of over 25 meters, and the radius of the barrel - 6 meters. Tree-champion can see and photograph in the park, on the territory of the sanatorium. The clinic is located in a room that was once   Dovzhansky castle , and now he left only the walls and park.

Since 1969   Basswood is considered botanical monument, but a security fence and a plate on it lacking.
