Jewish Ritual Bath

Jewish Ritual Bath

In Beregove has an interesting architectural and historical landmarks - the Jewish ritual bath.   Is the building next to the former synagogue   and it explains a lot, for example, why the room was called ritual. In Jewish writings stating that "unclean" people can not cross the threshold of the synagogue. There`s also a list of acts, after which a man or woman will be desecrated.

This two-storey room dates back to 1912 building. She   built in the Art Nouveau style and is painted in green. Previously, the building could boast of wooden shutters that are now available. During Soviet times, the building was used as a normal public bath, and today it takes a bank branch. A former synagogue is located in the House of Culture.

Today it is difficult to imagine the steam escaping from the loosely covered with windows, but it is possible to enter the building and inspect it from the inside.
