Many religious sites in Ukraine have a special place among the attractions due to its interesting history, often - the venerable age and the way in which managed to survive the troubled times, which always had a busy world. One of these - the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Odessa. Built in 1891 on the money of parishioners, the church was subjected to harsh treatment of atheistic Soviet rule. Until the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941), the cathedral was used for grain storage. At the same time the building has lost the top of the bell tower and dome, which was restored only in the early 90s of the last century.

The cathedral has a venerable age, it was built in 1808. However, it was founded back in 1795 and was made of wood, and belonged to the Greek community. Hence arose the first name of the Cathedral - Greek. Added in 1838 created two chapels cruciform building, completed in the Byzantine style. In the cathedral there are shrines - is written in the 19th century on Mount Athos icon of the Savior and the Iberian Mother of God, and the power of saints and holy Odessa. In 2003, when the cathedral was opened Sunday school.
