Museum of Memory of the Jewish people and the Holocaust in Ukraine

The largest post-Soviet space museum in memory of the Jewish people was opened in Dnepropetrovsk in October 2012 on the basis of cultural and business center "Menorah", the street Sholem Aleichem in the central part of the city.
History museum
The main purpose of the museum to convey to people the depth of the tragedy of the Holocaust, to show the catastrophe that the world has undergone after the Nazis came to power. Because the museum is located in Ukraine, the main part of the exhibition is devoted to the fate of the Jewish people in the territory of the country.
Particular attention is paid to Ukrainian-Jewish relations, the formation of mutual respect among people of all generations, Jewish and Ukrainian peoples. Much attention is given to the history of the Jewish community in Yekaterinoslav.
The museum exhibition "Memory of the Jewish people and the Holocaust in Ukraine"
The total exhibition area reached 3,000 square meters, the museum occupies 3 floors in the cultural and business center "Menorah". The complex consists of 3 rooms and temporary exhibition halls. The museum`s collection is divided into thematic exhibitions.
- The first hall - "The memory of the Jewish people and the Holocaust in Ukraine" - this exhibition widely covers the traditions of Judaism, and tells visitors about life of the Jews in various cities around the world.
- The second room, the largest in the museum devoted to the Holocaust. The exhibition area up to 800 square meters. Materials on the origin of the Nazi ideology, as well as several thematic exhibitions about the life of people in the 30 years on the territory of Ukraine.
In memory of the more than six million dead works exhibition "Hall of Memory - Hall of Names". Also, an exhibition dedicated to the reflection of the Holocaust in art in different countries.

The museum is located in the cultural and business center "Menorah", in the central part of Dnepropetrovsk. You can get here by 1 tram from Central Station, the city bus stop "Central Street".
