DOTs line of Stalin
About a dozen bunkers near the village preserved Murowana Kurylivtsi since the Great Patriotic War. In those years it was very close to the north-western edge of the 12th Mogilev Yampolsky fortified, built in the 30s of the last century. Location was not chosen by chance, it is in these places was the border of the Soviet Union.
Pillboxes were a huge part of the defense system, "Stalin Line", which was held from the Baltic to the Black Sea coast. By the summer of 1941 the front line of the South came close to MYAUR. The bunkers near the village of Murowana Kurylivtsi fought Division Infantry Corps. Several north Germans broke through the border and Soviet soldiers had to retreat to the east. Departing, they took weapons from the fortifications.
Today, well-preserved three bunker: at the entrance to the city, near the bridge over the river in the estate Zhvania and mosquitoes.
What to see near bunkers
Near one of the fortifications is a monument to the soldiers-liberators, representing a tank IS-2 on the high pedestal, the pedestal. Around the second bunker is S. Komar Palace , built in 1805 on the ruins of the once erected here fortifications. Nearby are also an art gallery , and the Church of Nativity .
