The first mention of the village Murowana Kurylivtsi refers to 1492. The place chosen was on a steep bank of the river Zhvan that guarantee long life of the village. The first name of the village Churilovtsy was consonant with the names of its founder. The village was property of the family Churilov until the late 18th century. When the Right Bank became part of Russia, the owner of the village, Kosakovskyi, did not wish to lay down their oath to the queen, and her name was selected in favor of the landowner A. Komar. Manor this today pleases the visitors a well-preserved decoration. In 1861, the village became the center of Murovanokuriletskoy parish.

In 1992, through the efforts of the Ukrainian artist V. Konovalyuk in the village opened art gallery. The venue for the exhibition served as a house of culture "Zhovten." Family founder were transferred to the museum the artist`s works: painting, landscapes, various illustrations. In 2010, the 120th anniversary of the birth of the author was timed opening of his museum room.
