Trinity Church, Zaturtsy
Trinity Church in Zaturtsah - a historic landmark and an important architectural monument, built in 1642. The current condition of the building is assessed as good. Trinity Church was restored in the late 20th century.
The history of the church of the Holy Trinity
History of the church in Zaturtsah be divided into several time periods:
- 1642 - construction of a church on the money V. Podgorodinsky in honor of the Holy Trinity and St. Mary Magdalene;
- the end of the 17th century - the emergence and prosperity of the Augustinian monastery at the Church of the Holy Trinity;
- 1830 - by the decree governing the closure of the monastery in the Volyn region of the Russian Empire;
- 1832 - transfer of Trinity Church Orthodox diocese;
- 1917 - closing of the church and the beginning of the destruction of the building due to the First World War;
- 1933 - Temple restoring forces villagers;
- 1946 - Trinity Church is closed again by the instruction of the Soviet power;
- 1994 - a large-scale restoration of the bell tower with dostraivaniya ruined building restored with maximum precision and consecrated for worship.
How to get to Trinity Church
Trinity Church is located in the central part of the village Zaturtsy (Volyn region), to the left of the road route. Nearby there is a large pond surrounded by township streets. The church was built on one of its beaches.
