Day of Zaporozhye 2015, Zaporizhzhia
Zaporozhye inhabitants will celebrate in a big city, they have that reason. The event is traditionally held on the first Saturday of October, which this year falls on the third number.
Up until last year was thought that the Zaporozhye was founded in 1770. Counting the years of life since the city began laying the first stone in the foundation of the Alexander fortress. However, the first written mention of the city dates back to the year 952, which was recognized by local MPs last year. Another cause for celebration will be that exactly 72 years ago Zaporozhye was released from the German occupation.
Last year part of the celebrations was canceled, but organizers promise to make up for all this time.
