Literary-memorial museum Korolenko Poltava
In 1928, the museum began its activities democrat writer Vladimir Korolenko. It all started with the exhibition, which was organized on the 75th anniversary of his birthday and had the name "Life and Work of Vladimir Korolenko." In 1940, the museum was organized on the basis of this exhibition, the museum has become the head of the writer`s daughter Sofia Vladimirovna.
The museum complex is located in the memorial estate of the writer, which is located within the city park called "Victory". Here is the tomb of the writer and his wife`s grave. The exposition includes more than 10,000 items, including: a work of fine art, a large library, personal belongings of the writer and his family, manuscripts cycle Siberian stories and others.
