Shevchenko source
Shevchenko source (or Tarasova well) located in the village Pidluzhzhya Rivne region. In autumn 1846 Taras Shevchenko traveled as Volyn artist Archaeography Commission. He also collected local folklore.
Returning from Pochayev, Shevchenko visited Dubna and the village of Willow . According to legend, Taras stopped and at Pidluzhzhya. Since then, local pit entrenched this name.
Now a source refined, along Shevchenko monument is authored by Boris Rychka. Opposite is a roadside cafe. Also nearby is known Tarakanivskyy fort . But we do not recommend you walk by the galleries of the fort, as easy to get lost here. You can find a guide (mostly locals) that guides you tour.
How to get to the well
If you are traveling by car E40 highway ( Kyiv - Lviv - Chop ), then just stop at the village Pidluzhzhya. Shevchenko source is near the road. Alternatively, the destination can be reached by train from Lviv , Rivne , Zdolbuniv , Krasny . Logging out need to stop "Kamianytsia-Volyn."
