Bust Oles Gonchar

Bust Honchar in Dnepropetrovsk was opened shortly after his death in 2003. It was established on the facade of one of the university buildings, which today bears the name of the famous Ukrainian poet and writer. The decision to rename the university arose in the early 2000s to emphasize the importance of the author, and the fact that he was a graduate of Oles Gonchar is the Dnepropetrovsk University many years ago.

Life and work Gonchar

Orphaned at the age of 3 years, the future writer gets to Poltava region foster grandparents. In 1930 ends the Kharkov University, already a graduate school of journalism.
