The history of the monument to Pushkin
Bronze bust of a prominent Russian poet created and inaugurated on July 6, 1987. Among the young and slender birch trees on a light square granite pedestal stands the monument to Pushkin, who glorified town in the eponymous poem "Poltava". The height of the sculpture with pedestal reaches 4.5 meters. The authors of the project are architects G. and V. Zilberblik Vadymov and made by sculptor N. Kogan.
Birch Square area of one hectare separated from adjacent streets figured fence, because since 1970 the area was included in the list of botanical attractions of the state. Alley is decorated with original lighting and benches in the decoration that deserve special attention as works of art.
