Customs area, Lviv

History Customs Square in Lviv
Customs area formed over time, and at the end of the 18th century called plyatsem Tslova. This name received from Archbishop Bandurskoho in 1933, the name lasted until 1946. After the Second World War, the area was renamed Soviet as department located next to Soviet authorities. Since 1990, the area received a historic name, which has until now.
Through the area runs the tram tracks, which the city received in 1929 from the town of Sanok. Such transport operated in Ukraine until 1973, after which they changed cars produced in Germany. Today the square runs through many tram routes.
Attractions in the area
- In the center of the square houses the church building of the former Poor Clares, during which the Austrian government in 1782, was as customs. In fact, the area later on it got its present name. Now the church is located museum Pinsel , who collected a unique sculpture "Ukrainian Michelangelo".
