Kyiv Fortress (New Pechersk Fortress)

The main phase of the construction was carried out in the mid-19th century, during the reign of Nicholas I. The author of the plan of the fortress became a military engineer Carl Opperman. The construction was so great that I had to resettle the residents of the Pechersk district.
