The history of cognac in Ukraine begins in the 19th century. On the territory of the modern House of vintage cognacs "Tavria" (New Kakhovka) three pioneers of winemaking - Julius Meier, Jean and Louis Hehlerom Zhatonom - in 1889 laid Winery settlement Essentials.
This trio were hereditary winemakers. They are the Russian Empire in the 20`s of the 19th century Emperor Alexander I invited to develop cognac production first in the southern capital - Odessa, and later in the Tauride steppes.

Now the plant in a season recycles about 17 000 tons of grapes. On plantations growing about 30 different varieties of grapes: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Aligote, merlot, cabernet and others.

A copy of the collection - cognac "Imperial" was awarded the Gold Medal in 2011 at the competition «San Francisco World Spirits Competition».
