St. George`s Church, Storozhinets

The oldest church Bukovina small cozy town is Storozhynets George Orthodox Church. The city has retained a provincial historic buildings. Special color added to the Romanians who live compactly in the area.

The history of the church

Church was the first major religious building of the city. Time building belongs to 1829. Temple founder Mrs. Garza was the wife of the local rich Nicholas Flondora. The temple was built in the classical style, but with large patches of the characteristics of the architecture Bukovina Orthodox churches. The temple was reconstructed several times and restored, but on the whole managed to maintain its historical form.
