Church of St. Anufry, Gusyatin
Church of St. Onuphrius in Gusyatin built during the time when the town is often the scene of the fighting. Because the church was not only a stronghold of faith for local residents, but also one of the links in the defense system goose.
The history of the church
As to the exact date of construction of the church Onufrievskiy still sustained discussion. Some scholars argue that the church was built in the late 16th century, when Polish possessions became Gusyatin Familiya Kalinovski. But other scientists believe that the church was built in the first half of the 17th century.

Since then and until World War Onufrievskiy church miraculously passed hardships, though Gusyatin was often at the center of the fighting. Somewhere in that period of time at the temple took two lateral completion.
In 1928, a defensive tower above the pews of the church was destroyed. In 1992-1993 the church survived the so-called "restoration", during which the church was completely covered with cement, and the sanctuary lost its ancient appearance. Currently, the church belongs St.Onufriy Church.

Gusyatin located on the border of Khmelnytsky and Ternopil regions. This can easily be reached by bus from Ternopil , Khmelnytsky , Vinnytsia , Lviv , Kamenetz-Podolsk , Ivano-Frankivsk and Buchach .
