N gate Kamenetz-Podolsk

Russian gates are located on the banks of the River Smotrych in Kamenetz-Podolsk. The construction of this powerful fortification hydraulic structure was begun in the 15th century. Together with the Polish Gate , they form a unique system for the inundation of the river canyon in the case of an external threat. Gate consists of eight towers, the length of which reached 230 meters. The floods are four of them eventually collapsed.
Preserved privratno, Gate, Clock, coastal towers and the Barbican. Today, a restored gate is pottery. In terms of architecture, Russian gates are unique in the Eastern part of Europe.
